Do you need insurance but are unsure of how to start? Through an agreement with Baptist Health Care, our partners at MedAssist can help. MedAssist helps individuals find coverage through the new Health Insurance Exchange.

A MedAssist certified application counselor will help you find a plan that fits your needs. Health insurance plans may cover the cost of care at the health care provider of your choice. In some cases, based on income, an individual or family may qualify for federally funded subsidies to cover monthly premiums to reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

A MedAssist counselor is available to help you. The open enrollment period is Nov. 15, 2014 to Feb. 15, 2015. If you do not secure insurance during the open enrollment period, you can only purchase insurance as a result of very specific events, such as the birth of a child, divorce, loss of job or loss of employer benefits.
