Visitation Information

WFCCC staff members are here to help patients adjust to the hospital environment to help ensure a comfortable stay. The visitation hours and policy support positive treatment plans comprised of routines and structure to help patients regain emotional and behavioral stability. Therefore, we ask that loved ones please visit patients during regular visiting hours. Tuesday and Thursday 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 1 to 4:30 p.m. As a state-owned facility, you can expect the following when you arrive to campus for a visit:

  • Treatment is very important and loved ones can help by adhering to the visitation hours posted on the unit and in the visitation area. We discourage visits that conflict with times reserved for therapy, classes or scheduled activities.
  • Visitors must leave personal belongings (i.e. purse, cell phone) in their vehicles. If packages, purses or other personal belongings are brought into the facility, they may be searched to ensure that contraband is not brought into the facility.
  • WFCCC is a smoke-free facility. Therefore we ask that visitors leave all tobacco products and ignition sources (i.e. cigarettes, liters, matches) in their vehicles.
  • When entering the facility for a pre-scheduled authorized visit (i.e. to attend a treatment team meeting) during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.), please enter through the Administration department and sign in at the receptionist’s desk where you will obtain a visitor’s badge and be escorted by staff.
  • All visitors must sign in at the visitation entrance during regular visiting hours and show identification at the reception desk. A parent or guardian must sign a release of responsibility form for children younger than 16 who wish to visit a patient.
  • To protect the privacy of other patients, visitors and patients are provided a visitation area and are not permitted in patient rooms or other patient care areas.
  • Former patients may visit current patients at the discretion of staff and with the goal of promoting visits that are positive and helpful to the person in treatment.
  • Staff members are required to supervise visits to promote safety and security at the facility.
