Baptist Health Care Foundation - About Us

  What is the Legacy Society?
Baptist Health Care Foundation is fortunate to have thousands of donors who see the value of investing in quality health care for our community. Whether donors support Baptist LifeFlight, cancer care, senior service or any of the many other services provided by Baptist Health Care, they are assured that their gifts are being used for worthwhile purposes. Most of our donors make annual gifts in support of the work of Baptist Health Care, but some have also made plans to ensure that their gifts will continue to make a difference for generations to come.

The Legacy Society is an organization consisting of special donors who believe so strongly in our mission that they have included Baptist Health Care Foundation in their estate plans. The membership in the Society, consisting of both individuals and families, has grown each year since its formation. The Foundation recognizes the Legacy Society members for their support, and the Foundation respects the wishes of those who desire no recognition.

As you make your plans for charitable giving, please consider the Baptist Health Care Foundation Legacy Society. Through the commitment of Baptist Health Care and the future gifts of Legacy Society members, we will secure a better tomorrow for everyone in our community.

Gifts that qualify for membership in the Legacy Society

  • Wills - The great majority of all planned gifts are made through bequests. Through a simple amendment to a will, a donor can make a gift of a specific dollar amount, a percentage of an estate or what is left after remembering loved ones.
  • Charitable Gift Annuities - Through a gift of cash or other assets, a donor can receive an income for life, a tax advantage and a rate of return that exceeds many current investments. Online Gift Calculator
  • Life Insurance - By transferring the ownership of a new or existing life insurance policy, a donor can make a future gift and receive a tax deduction
  • Beneficiary Designations - A donor can make a gift by making a beneficiary change to an existing life insurance policy, retirement fund or other asset.
These examples represent the most common types of planned gifts. The Foundation staff stands ready to discuss other options with prospective Legacy Society members.

We extend our sincere thanks to all of our current and future donors. Your gifts help secure the future of Baptist Health Care, and for that we are grateful. Your commitment today ensures a better tomorrow, and people yet to be born will benefit from your generosity. Thank you for making a difference.
