Special Supervision Services (SSS) |
This program is a monitoring process that is required for drivers who have successfully completed an administrative hearing with the Division of Driver License, Bureau of Administrative Review for a hardship driver license. The Special Supervision Service program is for individuals who have made a commitment to abstinence from alcohol and other drugs and whose driver license has been revoked or suspended due to DUI for a period of 5 years, 10 years or in some permanent cases. Participants in this program are supervised by a licensed DUI program. Clients are expected to have established and have been working a solid plan of recovery from the use of alcohol and other drugs before they apply. Participants in Special Supervision Services remain on the program until the end of their driver license revocation. Failure to follow program guidelines will lead to expulsion from Special Supervision Services and cancellation of the hardship driver license. The "hardship" driver license allows limited driving for business, employment or educational purposes only, depending on the type of license issued.
