There are hundreds of ways this mission is met by Lakeview Center and its three divisions - Behavioral Health Services, Child Protective Services and Vocational Services.

1. Providing round-the-clock crisis intervention, assessment and referral to adults, adolescents and children who call or come in with mental health or substance abuse problems

3. Operating HelpLine, a 24-hour telephone crisis counseling hotline for people in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties

8. Providing rape crisis services and specialized counseling to people who are victims of sexual violence or other violent crimes and trauma
9. Providing intensive residential treatment for adults who are addicted to drugs or alcohol
10. Recruiting qualified adults to provide foster homes for abused, neglected or abandoned children in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties |

- Providing the assistance and supports that allow people with developmental disabilities to live independently

- Providing chemical and behavioral treatment to adults dependent upon opiates and other narcotics
- Coordinating outpatient counseling, treatment and support services for adults with behavioral health issues
- Conducting a state-required traffic law and substance abuse education course for people who are preparing to become Florida-licensed drivers or who are referred by court or the Florida Department of Highway Safety due to having their driver licenses suspended
- Providing a state-licensed driver remediation program for DUI offenders in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties
- Serving as the lead agency coordinating child protective services in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties
- Offering solution-based outpatient counseling to people with a variety of issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to grief and stress
- Helping prepare youths in foster care for self-sufficiency as they mature into adulthood

- Operating a satellite clinic in Shalimar that provides chemical and behavioral treatment to adults who are dependent upon opiates and other narcotics
- Coordinating the Crisis Intervention Team’s training of area law enforcement officers so that they more effectively respond to crisis calls involving people with mental illnesses
- Providing contract services to military bases, government facilities and commercial enterprises in order to provide jobs for people with disabilities
- Conducting a specialized program to reduce or prevent substance abuse, HIV and hepatitis among communities of color and individuals returning to the community following incarceration
- Operating the state-owned psychiatric hospital located near Milton
- Training qualified adults to become foster parents
