In-hospital assistance: Daily consultations in the privacy of your room provide early access to breastfeeding professionals, reassurance, and one-on-one help getting off to a great start.
Post-discharge follow-up by phone: Nursing mothers will benefit from phone calls from our qualified lactation staff to answer breastfeeding questions that may arise in the first few days at home with their new baby.
Weight checks: Free weight checks are offered in the office by appointment.
Breast pumps and breastfeeding supplies: Medela brand breast pumps and supplies are available for rent or purchase. Pumps may be rented on a weekly or monthly basis. Other supplies include nursing bras, books, videos, DVDs, blankets, nursing stools, and storage bags. For a complete listing and price information, click here.
24-hour lactation beeper: One of our lactation staff is always on-call to provide support and answer questions. Call (850) 434-4567 or, after normal business hours, call (850) 434-4011.
Outpatient lactation consultations: For questions or concerns that cannot be addressed over the phone, an office visit can be scheduled. A lactation consultation may be requested by the mother, her physician, or nurse. Call 434-4567 to set up an appointment and for a fee schedule. |
