is an extensive and complete system of heart-related services provided by Baptist Health Care. Our mission is to provide the highest quality cardiac care and to prevent needless death and disability from heart disease.
As part of a network of four hospitals, 25 primary care centers and hundreds of skilled health care professionals. The Heart & Vascular Center links its patients to the largest health care system in Northwest Florida and South Alabama. At the heart of this system is Baptist Hospital, a comprehensive medical center offering complete cardiac care ranging from sophisticated diagnostic procedures and life saving emergency treatments to open heart surgery and cardiac rehabilitation.
Prevention and Early Detection of Heart Disease
Heart disease is a progressive illness. The onset of heart disease can begin years, even decades before the symptoms appear. Early detection and treatment can halt the detrimental processes that can damage the heart. With the right interventions, heart disease can often be prevented and its severity reduced.
The Heart & Vascular Center is on the front lines in this effort. We are constantly working to increase community awareness about the causes of heart disease and what can be done to prevent or halt its development. Through screenings, educational workshops, literature and various special events our goals are prevention, early detection and early intervention of heart disease.
