Lakeview Center has specialized services to help ensure that people who are challenged by a disability can learn the life skills to enjoy a fulfilling life. We strive to enhance independence and quality of life for those who have limited capacity due to developmental issues. The following services and programs help build the skills and supports necessary for these individuals and their families.

  • Supported Living Program
This program is located in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties for persons with intellectual disabilities to provide supports and training that helps them live independently in their own residences. Our supported living coaches offer guidance and encouragement in areas such as household management, meal preparation, shopping, self-care, public transportation resources and more. When appropriate and necessary, in-home support also is provided. Our program also ensures that emergency assistance is available 24 hours a day to all of our clients. For more information about this program and our services, please call 850.429.6907.

  • Matrix
FamiliesFirst Network funds this specialized, short-term (six to 12 months) program. We designed it especially for children who require more than traditional foster care can give them. Our specialized foster parents work with Matrix program counselors to support and provide stability to children and families so that the child may successfully transition to a permanent home.

Matrix/DD - This program is designed for children with developmental disabilities and autism as well as behavioral challenges. For more information about this service call 850.469.3763.

Medix is another sub-specialty Matrix program designed for children with medical as well as behavioral, developmental and/or mental health challenges. This program was developed in collaboration with Children's Medical Services with the intention of providing children with both medical and behavioral services in the same home, resulting in fewer placement disruptions. For more information about this service call 850.469.3763.

  • Court Liaison
These services work with the court system to advocate for and restore competency to people with intellectual disabilities who have involvement with the criminal justice system. Court liaisons are provided in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties as well as Miami-Dade County in Miami, Florida.
