Lakeview Center offers a variety of outpatient mental health and substance abuse services for men and women 18 years or older. These services are geared toward recovery and based on proven methods. They allow people to participate in their regular activities while undergoing treatment, leading toward a better quality of life.
Summit Group
An alternative for people who prefer to receive mental health care in a private, convenient setting, Summit Group specializes in the medical treatment of conditions that affect the mind, mood and behavior. Each of its psychiatrists, medical doctors and psychologists has extensive training and experience, and each is skilled in assessing, diagnosing and treating mental illnesses or addiction disorders.
Friary
Located near Gulf Breeze, Florida, The Friary is a residential and outpatient treatment facility for people with alcohol and drug dependencies. By addressing multiple aspects of addiction, The Friary helps its clients develop strengths and skills necessary for recovery. Services are provided in a caring and supportive environment using treatment methods that have been proven to be effective. Once a retreat for retired Franciscan friars, The Friary's tranquil setting on beautiful Escambia Bay is ideal for those beginning the recovery process.
Psychiatric Support Services
Medically appropriate and compassionate care is provided to people who need medications for stabilization or maintenance as they move toward recovery. Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management and therapeutic injections.
Outpatient Counseling
Outpatient Counseling provides brief, solution-focused therapy for people who are dealing with mental health issues, substance use disorders or a combination of both. Services include individual and group counseling, assessments and referrals.
Victim Services (Rape Crisis/Trauma Recovery)
These services help victims of sexual violence or other crimes recover from the emotional effects of what they have experienced. Victims and their families receive immediate, supportive, non-judgmental intervention and incident-specific counseling in a caring climate. Victim Services include crisis intervention, the 24-hour Rape Crisis hotline (850-433-7273), individual/group/family counseling, victim advocacy and coordination of other assistance. These services are free and available regardless of whether the crime has been reported or when it occurred.
Rape Risk Reduction Education
Education aimed at preventing rape is provided to high school and middle school students, minority and under-served populations, and professionals. The presentations are age and culturally appropriate and teach concepts such as self esteem, the characteristics of healthy versus unhealthy relationships, appropriate bystander behavior, and risk reduction behaviors.
Avalon Center
Located in Milton, Avalon Center provides outpatient mental health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents and adults living in Santa Rosa County. Services include assessment, individual/group/family counseling, crisis intervention and psychiatric medical services. Avalon Center also offers the Social Activity Program for adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
Century Clinic
Located in northern Escambia County, Century Clinic provides outpatient services for adults with mental health issues, substance use disorders or a combination of both. These services include initial assessments for psychiatric and substance use programs, case management services, substance abuse education groups, individual and group counseling, and referrals to link clients to other services. Century Clinic also offers the Social Activity Program for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. All services are designed to foster recovery and build resiliency.
